making steering shell with metal lathe

I made steering shell with metal lathe. At least 6 fuses were broken.
 Because I haven't had experience to make steering shell. it's different with reamers for woodwind. The diameter of rod is 36 mm. The finished diameter is 35 mm.
 The limit of diameter of boring with this lathe (7x14) is 16 mm. If more bigger diameter is needed, I have to use boring tool.
 Speedy rolling and slowly inserting drill bit.
 Then I used boring tool to make the diameter 28 mm and the depth is 8 mm for bearing.
 Done. I may be make this part from pipes. But Bearing is made based on the meter. the pipe is made based on the inch. That's problem, I think. The lathe needs taking a rest a once a 30 minutes. I can do the other job.
 Cutting iron plates to be square. Each thickness is different.
 at first, rough cutting, then finished.
I'm too perfectionist ? I don't think so.

start making new bike

I cut some wood parts as spacers for welding.
132 mm is for front wheel, 192mm for rear. that's opposite of normal bike. I think that the parts of fork also needs spacer. so I made 3 spacer.
Then I cut iron material.
one is for a shell of steering. the other iron plates are for suppoting the pivot.
today's working time was less of an hour.
I need better pen or something to mark.

attaching sprocket

I recieved a tool to remove the sprocket. it can be used to attach sprocket to free hub.
At first, put grease on free hub.
Then attach sprocket.
The left gears also attached to free hub, then turn the lock nut to right.
At last, I used the tool to attach and remove sprocket. 40 newton is needed to lock enough.

start preparing my python 2nd and 3rd

I have already started preparing next mission.
it's making some more pythons.
What's python lowracer ? you can know by clicking the link.
It's recumbent FWD.
 I bought some secondhand wheels and some new tires and tubes. This time, I'm going to make smaller pythons which tire measurement is 20 inches.
First Step, I checked wheel's condition, I'm sorry I forgot the photo.
Then attach tire to rim. At first a side of tire is attached.
 Then inflare tube a little and put it in rim and tube.
 The tube needed a little more air. push it in and push it in.
Check the condition of tire and tube and rim. then inflaire tire !
 Complete ! I did more 2 tires.
 The last one's wheel is for BMX. So the number of spoke is many. the axle is needed to change. it's a little bended. I need more one tire. I'm going to make it by my self.
